When Olderkesi Development Project was founded over forty years ago, its first buildings were the only permanent structures on a lonely stretch of plain in the Trans-Mara region of southern Kenya. Nestled in the center of five Maasai villages, the project was founded on the guiding principle to bring Enkai (God), enkare (clean water) and endaa (food security) to the Maasai of southern Kenya. Olderksi Dev. Project is currently providing food and water for both Primary and Secondary schools, as well as the Missionary Training Institute. At Beehive Global Collective, we felt it critically important to get involved with the project at this time for several reasons, and at the top was the support of the Training Institute (OMTI). Currently BGC is sending three evangelists from the Marsabit station who are working with Nairibi AGC planting churches in the Northern Desert to OMTI for critically important church leadership education. So, for Beehive Global Collective, supporting both ministry fields really is just a full circle opportunity to be a part of what God is doing in Kenya.
